My name is Patty Aalid and I have been raising chihuahuas for nearly 10 years
but have finally taken the big step to
the internet.   I would love to hear any comments or suggestions you may have about the site.  If links don't work as expected or photos aren't clear, please telephone or e-mail me at pups@lakecountrykennels.com. I will gladly get you the information you need.

All of my puppies are raised in my home and are played with and socialized from the day they are born.  I strive to raise healthy, well adjusted puppies so that you will enjoy your new baby as much as I have!

I live on a hobby farm in a small community in southern Minnesota. This rural region is primarily agricultural.  My little town of Cleveland is situated in LeSueur County, a name made famous by Green Giant Corporation.  (I assure you the pea was named after the area, not the other way around!)  This south central area of Minnesota has more lakes than other areas of the state and has been nicknamed "lake country".  I'm captivated by the beauty and peacefulness of
this area and the hard-working, honest individuals who live here.  I am proud
to be a part of this community and that is why I selected Lake Country Kennels for my name.

In August of 2006 my home was destroyed in the Cleveland tornado which took out many farms along my road as well as homes in several other communities.  The outpouring from my neighbors and good people from all the surrounding communities was astounding.  It helped me make a very difficult decision... rebuild or move.  I made the decision to stay and rebuild.  Who could leave this terrific little town which has so much heart... a town filled with generous, warm, caring individuals?
